Lula Laboratory was built on a specific premise: that mining and energy operations should not have to choose between accurate results and fast results. We deliver both — by bringing the laboratory to the site.
Lula Laboratory (Pty) Ltd provides coal, water, stone dust, and fuel testing across South Africa's mining and energy sectors — using a model that centralised laboratories cannot replicate: we come to you.
Every test we conduct uses ISO, ASTM, and IP methods on annually calibrated, accredited equipment — so results are accepted by regulators, mining houses, and legal bodies without question. But unlike traditional laboratories, we don't require your operation to wait while samples travel.
Our mobile laboratory brings full analytical capability to your site, eliminating transport delays, protecting sample integrity, and returning certified results before your next operational decision is due.
Silindile Ndwandwe built Lula Laboratory with a specific understanding of where analytical testing fails operations — because she has spent 20+ years inside those failures, as a scientist, as a senior manager, and now as a SANAS Technical Assessor who evaluates other laboratories against the same standards she applies to her own. That combination of technical depth and regulatory authority is what makes Lula's results credible to auditors, mining houses, and regulators alike.
Every analytical method applied in our laboratories is internationally recognised and approved. Results are accepted by South African regulators, international mining companies, and SANAS-accredited verification bodies without challenge.
Certified reference materials and secondary working standards are analysed daily — not as a compliance exercise but as a genuine check on instrument performance and analyst consistency. No result is released without QC confirmation.
All instruments are serviced and calibrated by SANAS-recognised providers on an annual programme. Calibration records are maintained for every instrument — available for regulatory inspection without notice.
